Dvořák's Spectre's Bride, for orchestra, choir and soloists
České Budějovice, Czechia, Thursday 30 July - Sunday 9 August 2026
- For: (choral and solo) singers, strings, winds and pianists; existing chamber music ensembles are welcome
- Intensive coaching by experienced teachers: Martina Bernášková, Petr Bernášek, Pavel Hořejší, Dirkjan Horringa, Libor Nováček, Mitchell Sandler, Rudolf Sternadel, Jitka Vlašánková and others
- Instrumentalists: chamber music and large symphony orchestra
- Everyone plays in two pre-formed chamber music ensembles
- Central work for all: Dvořák's Cantata The Spectre's Bride op. 69
- Choir: in addition to the Spectre's Bride with orchestra, the choir also works on chamber choir repertoire, a cappella and with piano
- At the Conservatoire of České Budějovice, South Bohemia, Czech Republic
- With Mozart Concerto Event: participants can play or sing a (movement of a) concerto or an aria by Mozart or a contemporary; the other participants and tutors form an ad hoc orchestra which sightreads the accompaniment
Places available for piano, violin and viola. The choir still has a few spots in all groups, especially for basses
